**Fitness Tips and Advice**
Here are some simple tips you can incorporate into your daily activities to help your personal exercise program. Warm up at least 10-15 minutes before starting any of the exercises.
Warming up at home:
- March in place regular style and wide leg style
- Knee ups while bringing arms down to meet knees
- Reach across body with arms, turning torso at waist; step out side to side with feet
- Step side to side taking feet wide while bringing hands overhead
- Walk briskly outdoors
- Walk a few flights of stairs up and down
Extra Tips:
- Walk and jog through your neighborhood if cardio equipment is not accessible
- Eat an hour or two before working out to give your body fuel to get through the workout
- Drink plenty of water during the day to keep yourself hydrated
- Eat every three to four hours to keep your metabolism boosted and energy levels high
- Stretch after every workout making sure to focus on each muscle group
- Wear clothing appropriate to workout: clothing to tight can restrict movement while clothing to lose can get in the way or catch on machinery or other objects
Remember that a good exercise program is a combination of a balanced and nutritious diet, proper rest, and a workout program consisting of cardio and strength/resistance training!
